The executives of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria YSFON, has congratulated the Management, Coaches, Players and Supporters of Rangers Football Club of Enugu on their victory of winning the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFEL Trophy after 32 years.
Sunny Opara, the vice-President South East YSFON, who disclosed this in a chart with Sports Ambassador said the Enugu Antelopes deserved the Crown after exhibiting good football tactics as Orchestrated by their gaffer, Imama Amakpakabo.
Speaking further, the ex-international who also doubles as the Imo State YSFON chairman also lauded the Enugu State governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his Sports Commissioner, Hon Charles Chuka Ndukwe and others who in one way or the other gave their support to the club especially in time of need urging other State governors to tow their footsteps on Policies that will promote the development of grass root Sports and Youths.
While commending the state and the club for the feet achieved, Mr Opara advised the club not to relent in their oars urging that more needed to be done especially if they must do well in the CAF champion’s league.
In a related development, the South East YSFON VP, further informed that the second edition of the Ojukwu U17 soccer competition, organized by YSFON will commence soon in Anambra State adding that the commencement date and modalities will be rectified in Enugu during the South East YSFON exco meeting this weekend .
It could be recalled that Anambara State also hosted the first edition and the Enugu will host the next.
