The Transition Committee Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, Hon .Bar Ijeoma Igboanusi celebrated the victory of team Orlu who emerged victors over Governor Okoroch’s home team, Ideato South LGA at the debut match of Sam Okwaraji Memorial Football Tournament organized by Okechukwu Theodore Ezeh foundation (OTEF) that ended 1-0.
Hon Igboanusi who spoke to Sports Ambassador newspaper, hailed team Orlu’s spirit which she said was exhibited through their amazing skills and technique that earned the victory.
The 2016 best TC Chairman in Nigeria revealed that Orlu LGA has always excelled in competition and charged the boys to show same team spirit for the trophy throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, Hon Igboanusi appreciated efforts of the organizers of the tournament, through the Chief Executive Officer of OTEF, Describing him as a good spirited Nigerian who deemed it fit to honor and remember a professional footballer and masters degree holder in international law who collapsed and died of congestive heart failure in the 77th minute of a world cup qualifying match against at the National stadium Lagos 27years ago.
