Amapakabo Agrees Improved Contract With Rangers

Nigeria champions Rangers have agreed a new, improved two-year contract with 43-year-old coach Imama Amapakabo.
“He has renewed his contract with Rangers by the grace of God,” disclosed acting Rangers chairman Steve Oruruo.
A formal agreement is expected in place shortly, officials further added.
Contract talks by Rangers with Imama were initially set for Friday, but brought forward because Enugu State sports commissioner Charles Ndukwe has another official engagement that would have clashed with the talks
Imama met with Ndukwe, Oruruo and general manager Paul Chibuzor on Thursday.
It is understood that the new deal of the coach has been much improved and now compares to what rival premier league clubs have tabled before him.
Rangers also have an edge because they offer him a CAF Champions League challenge next year.
Kano Pillars and Gombe United were among the clubs who contacted him when he was out of contract with Rangers after he led them to win the Nigeria league earlier this month after a long wait.
In the meantime, Rangers rescheduled trophy tour around Enugu was staged on Saturday.
